Fondue Fun!

After buying a fondue set at Pier I we had to legitimize our purchase. Let the fonduing begin.

To make real Swiss fondue you’re supposed to use a blend of Gruyere and Emmental cheese. I forgot this tidbit when we were at the store so we just used Gruyere. Some wine, garlic, lemon juice, pepper and nutmeg add to the flavour. You can also add a tablespoon of flour to thicken the mixture a bit. Start by simmering the wine with the garlic and spices then slowly add the cheese and flour. Once the cheese is all melted the fondue is ready. Serve with baguette and apples (for vitamins!).

Fondue is not the most photogenic food unfortunately. The recipe turned out great though!
