The Wandering Fork

On Friday a few of us from work went on our (now) annual lunch date to a local culinary school - they have a prix fixe menu every Friday for the students to try out their dishes. Sorry for the picture quality - all I had was my (brand new!) phone (the HTC Desire takes surprisingly good pictures considering it’s just a phone!).


First we had bagette and little corn cups filled with potato filling topped with tomato … stuff. The filling was really good but the corn cups were very chewy. We weren’t sure if they were supposed to be like that. Frenchie seemed to like it though!



For the appetizer we had a choice of squash purée or a roasted vegetable salad. I chose the purée.




For the entrée I had the vegetable ravioli - there was also a choice of steak or a seafood bou… something.



Unfortunately mine was a bit undercooked and one of us found a hair in our dish. Oh well, they are just students.


For dessert we had a choice of mocha mouse with ginger mouse with a chocolate granita or a pear something…




Quite and interesting plating decision we thought.


Though there were some things that were imperfect it was fun to have such an affordable foodie experience!
